Support for Parents. Relief for Kids. Connection for Families.
When your child is anxious, struggling to sleep, refusing school, or overwhelmed by fears, it’s hard to know what to do. You may feel helpless, exhausted, or worried you’re somehow making it worse. You’ve tried being calm, reassuring, firm, flexible—but nothing seems to stick.
You’re not a bad parent. Your child isn’t broken. You just need a new way forward.
I help parents of anxious children and teens using the evidence-based Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions treatment program (SPACE). Unlike traditional child therapy, SPACE focuses on empowering you—the parent—to create meaningful change in your child’s life.
Is This Right For My Family?
SPACE can be incredibly helpful if your child is struggling with:
Separation Anxiety
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
Generalized Anxiety or constant “what ifs”
Sleep Difficulties
Social Anxiety
Panic Attacks
Phobias
School Refusal
You do not have to wait for your child to be “ready” for therapy. SPACE works even if your child is unwilling or unable to participate directly—because you become the change agent.
What is SPACE?
SPACE is a parent-based treatment developed at the Yale Child Study Center for children and teens dealing with anxiety disorders, such as separation anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety, and others. Instead of changing your child’s behavior directly, SPACE helps you change how you respond to anxiety in supportive, strategic ways.
Through this work, you'll learn how to:
Offer emotional support without reinforcing anxiety
Reduce accommodation without creating conflict
Set compassionate boundaries that build trust and confidence
Help your child or teen face challenges with resilience

What to Expect
We’ll start by understanding what’s happening in your family and what patterns have taken hold. You’ll gain practical tools, language, and strategies to reduce anxious behaviors while maintaining empathy and connection.
Our work is:
Collaborative: You’re the expert on your child—I bring guidance and structure.
Judgment-free: No shaming, blaming, or “fixing” here.
Rooted in science: SPACE has a growing base of clinical evidence.
Empowering: You'll feel more confident and grounded in your parenting.
Short-term: Plan to attend up to 12-sessions of treatment.
You Deserve Support, Too.
So often, parents are expected to shoulder it all. The weight of anxiety in the home—especially when it’s your child’s—can feel unbearable. You don’t have to carry this alone. There’s no shame in asking for help. In fact, it’s one of the most loving things you can do for your family.
You’re here because you care deeply. Let’s turn that care into change.
